Firmware 1.4 installation instructions – Windows Edition
Steps:
1. Format a 1 or 2 GB SD card (large cards will not work)
2. Copy the .Elf file to the root directory of the SD card
- 2a. Open the zip file and copy the .elf file
- 2b. Accessing the SD card 1
- 2c. Accessing the SD card 2
- 2d. Paste the file on to the root directory of the SD card
3. Turn off the POV Recording Unit, remove the USB cable and SD Card, and lock the SD card
4. Insert the SD card, hold the settings button, and press power
5. Wait for the blinking LED to stop blinking
6. Enjoy the 1.4 Firmware upgrade.
Step 1. Formatting the SD card

Formatting the 1 or 2GB card completely erases everything on the SD card! To format the SD card please refer to the following steps:

Step 2a. Open the zip file and copy the .elf file Please copy the file as described below:

Step 2b. Accessing the SD card 1 Next you will need to open the computer menu. To do this:

Step 2d. Paste the file on to the root directory of the SD card

Step 3. Turn off the POV Recording Unit, remove the USB cable and SD Card, and lock the SD card Now that you have placed the .elf file on the SD card please power down the POV Recording Unit, remove the USB cable, and remove the SD card from the POV Recording unit and lock it. To lock the SD card move the tab down to put the SD card into the locked position. |

Step 4. Insert the SD card, hold the settings button, and press power Next you will have to flash the firmware on the POV Recording Unit To flash the POV Recording unit:

Step 5. Wait for the blinking LED to stop blinking
- The indicator light will flash. You may now stop pressing the SETTINGS button.
- Once the light has stopped flashing you may remove the SD card and your firmware will now be version 1.4
Step 6. Enjoy the 1.4 Firmware upgrade.
